Deputy Broad

Deputy Broad was killed for losing his last race with no effort to find a new home for him. His trainer said Deputy didn't deserve a home. Read his full story here: http://canadianhorsedefencecoalition.wordpress.com/2011/07/31/the-sad-fall-of-a-racehorse/ RIP Deputy Broad. We love you, and will not let you, or your cruel and unfair story be forgotten ♥

  2. I am totally with you! What is wrong with this pile of Knuckle heads that run the racing industry... I read the story of a fellow who saw him at the livestock auction and it was between him choosing Deputy for 750.00 or Princess Madeline for 200. He chose Princess Madeline. The Original race Owner of these horses can pay Millions for a Horse but cannot set up a fund for them after their racing career. Requirements for buying horses and racing them should stipulate a retirement fund accounts for these horses and part of the purchase price should be required for that fund such as 30% of the Purchase Price towards the fund. A percentage of the bet that each horse produces should go towards that retirement fund whether it wins the race or not it is because he is a participant in the race why people bet for each of them so this percentage is merited. Funds should be managed by an institution loyal to the horse's interest. Millie
